♫ Tong Tong Tong Chiang! ♫, it’s getting real busy and bustling as the new year approaches, especially in kitchens where many must be busy preparing warm, hearty home cooked meals to welcome those dear back home. Speaking of being busy, the same thing is happening in Re:Bakesic’s kitchen as the Los Angeles-based scone bakery is baking up their new, limited-edition Chinese New Year inspired scones.
To compliment their Chinese New Year themed scones, a new set of festive visuals is designed. As seen, the adorable rectangular sticker has returned, but this time it’s decorated with Chinese elements. The sisters are illustrated hidden beneath the table for a cheeky, playful feel, and the tablecloth features one of their brand’s design elements: the gingham pattern. Detail-wise, they are wearing their signature pink chef hats while posing with Chinese hair ornaments.
Their Chinese New Year-inspired scones contained ingredients like radish, red dates, and “bakesic” baking ingredients, thus the illustrations were made based on those ingredients. For prosperity blessings, pastel colours are combined with the well-known Chinese new year colours of red, yellow, and orange 😉
With the creation of the main illustration, a themed sticker is created in which the sisters are no longer hidden and are proudly presenting you with their limited edition scones. A themed logo was also created for their social media profile, depicting the sisters carrying a plate of their delectable scones and holding red packets respectively, because Chinese New Year wouldn’t be complete without delectable snacks and money! 🥚🧧
