Mausu Coffee

We are back with another self-initiated project, and this time it’s everyone’s all time favourite drink: coffee! We’ve engaged ourselves with this cafe owner and provided them with a set of illustrations for their branding ☕️

Mausu マウス (in Japanese) has a similar pronunciation to the word ‘mouse’, and it is actually the cafe owner’s Zodiac! 🐭 We’ve humanized the mouse a little to indirectly represent the owner by helping it put on some clothes and an apron.

They actually roast their own coffee beans in this little cafe tucked in the heart of KL. To bring out the brand’s personality where it is not as commercialised as other big coffee brands, we used textured and organic lines to constitute the feeling of a warm humble cafe 🙂
