We’re thrilled to announce that we recently won Gold awards from the Muse Awards for two of our design projects: the Mi Skin Box packaging and the Wild Yeast Watercolour calendar. In this post, we’d like to share some insights into our design approach for both projects and what winning the awards means to us.

For the Mi Skin Box packaging design, we were approached by Face Plus Aesthetic to create a fresh new appearance for their packaging design. They had recently upgraded their products by adding in extra premium ingredients, which called for a new ‘premium’ look to their packaging design as well. We had previously designed their old packaging in 2021, and with their trust in us once again, we delivered a brand new packaging look for them that ideally represents what Mi Skin and their products are about.
When it comes to design, aesthetics is one of the important factors in creating a stunning material piece that leaves an everlasting impression on audiences. That’s why we didn’t just simply create an aesthetic packaging look and call it a day. Instead, we did it in a way that aligns with the needs and wants of our client and what their brand is all about, for them to be able to effectively connect with their target audiences more than ever. Our solid philosophy is that we design to solve problems, and that’s what we did for this project.
Moving on to the Wild Yeast Watercolour calendar, our client was a business founded by two passionate bakers, Terence and Will, that specialize in sourdough. They were in love with the process of forming the dough with time and patience compared to normal bread-making. When they approached us about creating a monthly thank-you card for their customers, they wanted something that would reflect their passion for craftsmanship and uniqueness.
The result was a set of watercolor illustrations that are warm, handmade, and totally unique! Each piece is hand-drawn with watercolor, refined in Photoshop, and designed in Illustrator. We applied special printing techniques on some of the pieces and hand-lettered each month’s title too. We loved that watercolor illustrations are able to deliver a cozy handmade vibe that suits what they were looking for.
Winning Gold awards from the Muse Awards means a lot to us. It’s a recognition of our hard work and creativity, and it motivates us to continue striving for excellence in our designs. We’re grateful to our clients for trusting us with their projects and allowing us to showcase our skills. We’re excited to see what new opportunities this recognition will bring and how we can continue to create designs that solve problems and connect with audiences.
